Ancillary Revenue

Selling ancillary products and services via multiple channels is central to most airline strategies  An airline will look to up sell internal inventory (e.g. seat selection, change PNR) and partner inventory (hotel, car hire).

These may be present as a dynamic package and the payment processed inline (part of one transaction) or after the booking as a separate transaction. Airlines need to be mindful of this and note the impact on fees if the merchant category is impacted. This process may also involve you processing payments for others.
